Order prescriptions from Canada and save up to 90%
Which is better: buying medications from Canada or enrolling in a Medicare Part D drug benefit plan? A new tool helps American seniors answer that question, and it's free.
MedCenter Canada Inc. has just announced its new on-line Medicare Part D calculator. The calculator helps seniors maximize their savings by comparing prescription drug prices between Canadian pharmacies and Medicare Part D. Seniors can run the calculator themselves at www.partdcalculator.com or they can call 1-800-442-9585 and run the numbers over the phone with a customer service agent.
For years, American seniors have saved money by ordering their prescription drugs from Canada. They'll soon have another potential option. On November 15 anyone eligible for Medicare can enroll in a Part D drug reimbursement plan to help pay for their medications.
However, Part D is very complicated to figure out. Marital status, annual income, asset values and each senior's individual prescription drug mix will affect their monthly premiums, annual deductibles, co-payments and reimbursement rates. All of these factors make it very difficult to figure out whether Part D will save seniors any money, especially compared with the Canadian pharmacy option.
"Our free calculator tells seniors quickly and easily how to save the most money on their medications, whether it be Plan D or buying from Canada. And the calculator provides seniors with the most accurate information available because it allows them to enter the exact medications they're on and then compare costs directly," says Alex Glassey, President of MedCenter. "That makes a big difference to their annual savings."
"We've run tests of our most popular-selling drugs and the results are clear," Glassey continued. "Most middle-income Americans are better off getting their medications from Canada because it saves them more money and it's easier. Part D seems to favor those below the poverty line or people spending more than $10,000 a year on medications."
"Seniors should try this. It's a free tool, it's easy to use, and it only takes a minute to discover the best way to save on their prescription medications," said Glassey.
MedCenter Canada Inc. through its partner network of international pharmacies, is an established leader in providing affordable medications for Americans. Since 2003, MedCenter has helped tens of thousands of Americans save money on their medications.
